Bark Balls began with one dog’s obsession with fetch — and a founder who couldn’t ignore how many tennis balls still had plenty of play left in them.
That founder? Natalie Ball. And yes, Ball is really her last name.
Her goldendoodle, Tilly Ball, is our Chief Fetch Officer. Today, Bark Balls helps create more opportunities for play while supporting causes that matter. Because every ball deserves another throw.

Are Bark Balls safe for my dog?
Bark Balls are for fetch, not for eating. Every ball is hand-inspected and repackaged before it ships. Always supervise play, choose the right size for your dog, and replace any ball that's torn or being chewed apart. More on our Safety & Quality page.
What's in a pack, and what kind of balls are they?
Real, standard-size tennis balls given a second life — 30, 50, or 100 to a pack depending on the size you pick. Each pack is a mix of brands, colors, and wear, so you'll get a friendly assortment instead of matching logos. Every ball is checked by hand before it goes in the box.
Are the balls cleaned?
Balls aren't washed, so they may carry a court scent. Every ball is hand-inspected, and we remove any with splits, mold, or contamination. If you'd like, wipe them down before the first throw — most dogs prefer them exactly as they are.
Are they really recycled? What makes them eco-friendly?
Yes — every Bark Ball started out on a court. About 125 million tennis balls end up in US landfills each year, and they take around 400 years to break down. We rescue them, inspect them, and turn them into the toy your dog already loves.
Where do Bark Balls come from?
From tennis clubs, tournaments, universities, schools, and players who'd rather see their old balls fetched than tossed — including match balls from the Dallas Open. Each ball is collected, inspected, and repackaged before it ever reaches a dog.
How fast will my order ship?
Most orders ship in 2–3 business days, and we ship to all 50 states.
What's your return policy?
All sales are final, but if a pack arrives damaged or wrong, email hello@bark-balls.com and we'll make it right.
How do I send you my old tennis balls?
Box up your dry, intact balls and ship them to us at your own cost. Our address and the full steps are on the Fetch Forward page. We’re asking for tennis balls, not money. Clubs and facilities with bigger piles can apply to Court-to-Canine.
Are ball donations tax-deductible?
No. Bark Balls is a for-profit company (an LLC), so we can't issue tax receipts. Every donated ball gets upcycled into a dog toy instead of going in the trash.
